All Hallows Eve is creeping near,
The whispering winds grow sharp and clear,
The moon ascends, a ghostly hue,
And paints the world in silver dew.

The pumpkins grin with wicked light,
Their candles flicker through the night,
While shadows twist and softly creep,
Through doorways where the brave don’t sleep.

For once a year, the dark draws close,
To stir the earth and wake the ghosts,
