District Entry Artwork

The City of Plano is looking for an artist or artist-led team to design and fabricate a permanent artwork marking the entry to the Historic Downtown Plano Arts District at G Avenue and 15th Street. The piece will serve as a landmark for the district, strong by day and at night.

Budget is $125,000, all-inclusive. Open to artists nationwide. Phase 1 entries are due July 27.

Downtown Plano Street Banner Design Contest

The Downtown Plano Arts District is looking for talented youth to showcase their creativity in the Street Banner Design Contest. Youth ages 5-18 are invited to submit original winter themed artwork of Downtown Plano.  The ten artists selected to have their artwork displayed on banners throughout Downtown Plano will each receive $100.

Who can participate:
• Youth ages 5-18
• Artist must reside within Plano ISD boundaries

Submissions:

• Art MUST be vertical in orientation
• Digital art MUST be hi-res
• Physical art is best if it’s on unlined paper or canvas
• Bold colors do best, with limited open white space
