On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross directly over Plano, Texas. Monday may be all about the sun, but Sunday night will be all about the moon and stars!

We’re throwing a free, family-friendly street party in Downtown Plano on Sunday, April 7 from 5-9:30pm to commemorate the occasion.

How we’re celebrating:
• 15th Street will be closed to cars, and tables will be set up for dining under the stars
• Free eclipse stickers while supplies last
• Celestial-themed photo ops
• Tarot card readings and astrologer consultations
• 5:30 pm Thin White Dukes (a David Bowie tribute band) in McCall Plaza
• 8:00 pm All Funk Radio Show in McCall Plaza

Special activities & offers from Downtown shops and restaurants:
• Downtown shops will stay open late
• Cash bar on the street provided by The Fillmore Pub
• Coco Beach will have a DJ
• Rail Station Studios will have live music, free Moon Pies and RC Cola
• Better Than Sex dessert restaurant will offer a special eclipse drink on the menu
